cowgirl goulash

I made up the name but the recipe came off of the internet. It's amazing....it's cheap.....it's quick. I was supposed to make something in the crockpot but didn't get it in the pot in time so.....last night I hit the internet to see what I could find. This is so stinkin' easy and everyone ate it up! I made the name for Jenna so she would eat it.

Cowgirl goulash:
~ 1 lb. ground meat (turkey, deer, cow, whatever)
~ 1 can cream of mushroom soup
~ 1 can condensed vegetable soup

That's it....yep, it's the truth.

Brown the meat (get the grease out if you have any) then add the other 2 ingredients and cook until hot. Serve with rice or pasta (we used brown rice). Add a salad, vegetable, roll and there you have it....one of the easiest recipes I have ever cooked!

Happy eating!

Tasty Tuesday

I made a dish tonight that I just had to post about! We loved this recipe....the kids did not. But it was DELISH and fast and easy!

Guacamole Chicken:

1 lb. chicken tenders, cut into bite-size pieces
8-oz. pkg. guacamole
1 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
3/4 cup salsa
diced green onions or chives

1. Brown chicken pieces in large skillet sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
2. Mix in guacamole, sour cream, and salsa. Heat until warm.
3. Garnish with onions or chives
4. Serve over rice.

Easy dish. My variations: I used light sour cream, only used 1/2 cup salsa, and did not use any onions or chives.

I think this meal would be perfect with a crusty bread and a salad, we had neither! This recipe makes 4 servings. If you have more than 2 adults I would most definitely double it!

Zucchini, Hannah Montana, and Barbie

First, a couple of pictures of the kiddos for those not really interested in the other part of this post. ha.

I think I may have figured out the whole picture thing. yippee! This post is about food-yummy! I made a fantastic zucchini lasagna and it was so easy! This is for you Hannah and you could really make this for your mom and dad. It was positively yummy! I've made 2 birthday cakes in the last month and as you can see I used the airbrush technique on both. I really would like an airbrush machine for my cakes-that would definitely have to be on a "wish" list. However, I used the Wilton sprays and they were good also. When the Hannah Montana napkins and plates were added around the cake it really added a lot to the cake but I didn't have my camera when that was done.
